BREAKING: Accused killer Stewart Weldon expected to plead guilty | News


SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) — Breaking news this afternoon out of Springfield, Massachusetts; the Hampden District Attorney’s Office reports that accused killer, Stewart Weldon is expected to plead guilty.

The Hampden DA’s Office confirmed with Western Mass News that the court proceedings are expected to take place this afternoon at 2 p.m. in Hampden Superior Court.

Weldon is accused of killing three women in the city of Springfield years ago and his trial was set to begin October 12th. 

The bodies of three missing women were found at his Page Boulevard home. They were 27-year-old Kayla Escalante, 34-year-old America Lyden, and 47-year-old Ernestine Ryans.
