Local area high school’s will be pooling their resources as they hit the water this fall.

Here’s a look at some of the team’s that are expected to make some waves in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

 

ACADAMY OF NOTRE DAME

League: Merrimack Valley Conference Division 2

Last year’s record: 1-7-1

Returning Letterwinners: Captain Abby Golden, sr., freestyle/butterfly; Captain Catie Johnson, sr., diving; Melissa Badendeick, jr., distance freestyle/IM; Elizabeth Johnson, soph., sprint freestyle; Grace Emanuele, fr., breaststroke.

Coach Sean Glasheen (4th season): “We’re hoping to have consistent improvement throughout the season.”

 

BILLERICA

Coach Rebecca Maccaro (5th season): “Dracut is the smallest school in the MVC. We go into every meet with a positive attitude focusing on bettering the swimmers times. We have a great group of swimmers and a very young team. The whole team is looking forward to a great, fun season and we are happy to be back in the pool and hope to claim a few W’s along the way.”

Coach Jen McGlauflin (13th season): “We have a very young team with only two swimmers returning from the Fall 2019 season. I am looking to see the girls accomplish their individual and team goals and enjoy being a part of the team.”

Coach Jason Smith (19th season):  “We are really excited to have a normal season again. Our team was very successful in our virtual Fall-2 season, but it was just not the same without the fans, the cheering, and the competition right there next to you. We have a very talented and experienced group who are working hard and ready to defend their MVC II titles.”
