Gertrude Anna, 101, was predeceased by her husband Joseph, daughter Jane Elizabeth, sister Florence, and longtime friend Charles Higgins. She is survived by her son David Keighley, daughter Maida and her husband Paul Masi. She had three grandchildren, Anthony, Alex and Emily and two great grandchildren, Jack and Rowan.
She was born and lived in Holyoke Ma. She worked in the National Blank Book Company in Springfield during WWII making parts for Browning Automatics (our own little Rosie the Riveter!).
Gert and Joe owned an operated the Bizzy Bee Fish and Chip Store on Ely Street in Holyoke for over 40 years. She retired to Eastham Ma. in 1979 and loved living on Cape Cod. She loved taking long walks with neighbors and friends, gardening, knitting baby blankets and most of all she loved her family.
Her family would like to thank everyone at the Royal Megansett Nursing home in Falmouth where she was so well taken care of.
Her memorial will be private and in lieu of any flowers, please make a donation to your local food pantry in her honor.
