Jane Turnbull, 86, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ludlow, MA to the late John Marvin Cleary and Isabel Abbie (Young). She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Richard “Dick”, daughter Lynn Marie and daughter Kathleen (Greany). Jane leaves behind her sons Kenneth and his wife Judy of Palatka, FL, and Mark and his wife Sue of West Springfield, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as her sister Marie Howe of Chicopee and dear long-time friend Ann Sullivan of West Springfield. Jane held several jobs including her time at The Republican Newspaper in the circulation department, waitressing at Points East and managing the business side of Dick’s business,Valley Janitorial. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending her time knitting and making puzzles. Her quick wit and her keen sense of humor kept everyone on their toes and helped her to raise her family. She and Dick spent time traveling and enjoying the outdoors together, with their children and in later years grandchildren. Dick and Jane spent many summers at Camp Overflow in Otis, MA and several winters in Florida as well as adventuring on numerous cruises. Jane was grateful she was able to spend time in the Florida sun in recent years and time with family. Services will be private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
