The team practicing on Saturday, getting ready for that home opener.

“It’s very exciting for people in Maine because it’s their first time seeing this team we’ve put together, they are really impressive,” said assistant coach Sarah Ntifu. “We wish the community would embrace the team and come out to support us in numbers.”

The team’s first home game at Deering Memorial Stadium is next Sunday.

They take on the New England Mutiny, who play out of Ludlow, Massachusetts.
