Priscilla “Penny” J. Pepin
1938 – 2023
Longmeadow
Priscilla J. Pepin, 85, of Longmeadow, MA, lovingly known as Penny, died at home with her children and daughter-in-law on May 13, 2023.
Born on January 5, 1938 in Medford, MA to the late Roy and Felice Curtis, she graduated from Wellesley High and Katherine Gibbs College, Class of 1957.
At a young age, Penny was instilled with a strong work ethic from her parents. While growing up in Wellesley, she worked after school at her father’s well known restaurant, the Dainty Shop, on Central Avenue. This was an infamous rallying spot for friends and tourists that stayed open for 23 years.
Throughout her life, she continued her work with the American Heart Association, Milton Bradley, and Aetna Life Insurance. Her most successful run was in Real Estate for over 30 years. She dove into sales in true Penny fashion. She was a powerhouse at what she did, and loved all walks of life that she met along the way. She started with Larry Lyons and White/Better Homes and Gardens, where she managed the Springfield, Longmeadow Green, and Longmeadow Shops Offices. She then went on to Coldwell Banker and practiced well into her young age of 75. She was a consistent Medallion Club member and was awarded the “Over 25 Million in Sales” status for many consecutive years. She earned the “Best of the Best” recognition and many other achievements.
While she was busy working, her and her husband Dwight of 47 years raised 3 children and resided in Longmeadow. In 1996, they built their little dream home in their favorite place on earth, Brewster, MA. There they cherished many memories with their children and later grandchildren.
Penny’s proudest possessions were her 3 grandchildren. They would like to “thank her for her endless love and devotion to them.” They will never forget how special she made them feel in her presence and how much fun she was to be around. A note to my Nana: “No words can describe how special you were to me. I will forever cherish the memories I have with you. I will always carry a piece of you in my heart, Nana. I love you so so much.” – Hanna.
Mom, we will miss your tenacity, your wit, your grace and undying love. Every moment we had with you was precious. Life will go on without you, but it will never be the same.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dwight, in 2007. She is survived by her daughters Kim DiBiaso and husband Neil of Agawam and Michelle Levesque and her husband Carl of Wilbraham; her son Michael and wife Nicci of Longmeadow, who cared and loved her in their home and her three grandchildren, Hanna, Luke, and Alex.
Penny also leaves some dear friends, a few who have passed, but she always kept close in her heart. She also was very proud of her tight knit Realtor crew. Back in the day, they were a “force” never to be forgotten…
The Pepin Family would like to extend their special thanks to the “Dream Team” caregivers and Baystate Hospice for their care and outpouring of l0ve during a difficult time.
To comply with her wishes, there will be a memorial Service at St. Mary’s Church in Longmeadow, MA on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:30 AM. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions in Penny’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.forastiere.com
