1 person hospitalized after explosion at Kingston home | ABC6

KINGSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts resident is hospitalized in Boston with serious injuries following an explosion that happened in their Kingston home, officials told WCVB Channel 5.

The Kingston Fire Department said the explosion happened on Sunday at a residence on Nobadeer Circle, which is off of Wapping Road/Route 106.

According to the fire department, it is believed the person who was injured was manufacturing fireworks in the basement of the home.

Fire officials said members of the Kingston Police Department, State Fire Marshal’s Office and Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad have also responded to the scene.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area while they investigate the home where the explosion happened.
