1933 – 2023
Dorothy (Pieczarka) Lombardi, 90, died May 24, 2023 at the Windsor Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in South Yarmouth. Born in Springfield on March 30, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Sally (Gontowski) Pieczarka.
Dorothy lived in Ludlow for most of her life until she moved to the Cape in 1998. She worked as an Executive Assistant and Sales Representative for Monsanto until she retired. Dorothy had been a member and CCD teacher of Christ the King Church while she lived in Ludlow. She was a member of the Hyannis Yacht Club, and she loved her social life on the Cape.
The wife of the late Aldo Lombardi who died in 2000 and aunt of the late E. Hartford, CT Police Officer Brian Aselton, Dorothy is survived by two sisters, Agnes “Betty” Kibbe of Ludlow and Carol Aselton of Port Charlotte, FL, and her nieces and nephews, Diane McCarthy of Annapolis, MD, Karen Pilon and Sarah Burek both of Ludlow, John Aselton of Glastonbury, CT and Carolyn Aselton Wilkie of Broad Brook, CT.
Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, May 31, with Calling Hours from 9am-10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am at Christ the King Church, Ludlow and burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
