Juan Del Carmen Lopez-Arce 91, passed away on May 24, 2023; surrounded by his loving family, following an illness. He was born on January 21, 1932 in Hatillo, Puerto Rico a son of the late Flor A. Lopez Feliciano and Agripina Arce Perez. Juan served his country honorably in the United States Army; during the Korean Conflict. Prior to moving to the Springfield area, he was a school teacher in Puerto Rico. Juan is survived by his loving family-three sons, Juan E. Lopez, Jorge Lopez Raices, Juan Lopez Raices; two daughters, Leticia Lopez Races, Wanda Luz Lopez; a brother, Berto Lopez; three sisters, Carmen Lopez Arce, Luisa Lopez Arce, Celia Lopez Arce, two grandchildren, Jessiemarie Lopez, Brandon E. Lopez; three great grandchildren, Naliel Candelas, Dariel Candelas, Valentina Candelas; and extended family members. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM-1:00PM, on Tuesday (May 30, 2023) at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 985 Main St. Agawam with a funeral home service at 1:00PM. Burial with full military honor will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. forastierefuneralhome.com
