Springfield – The Springfield Pride Parade Organization is excited to announce a weekend of celebrations and youth-centered community conversations beginning June 1, culminating in the 2nd Annual Pride Parade and Block Party on June 3, 2023.
June 1, You Ball Fundraising Gala, Aria Ballroom at MGM Springfield, 1 MGM Way from 6 p.m. to midnight. Featuring: Celebrity DJ Kenneth Kyrell, Springfield’s own Malado, The House of Margiela. Hosted by: Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris & Wesley Days Jr.
This formal attire fundraising event is Met Gala-inspired with a Fabergè Egg theme. It will be an evening to celebrate and honor the region’s LGBTQIA+ and ally business owners, professionals, and community leaders. The Fabergè Egg was selected as the first You Ball theme because of its opulence and handcrafted art. Proceeds support LGBTQIA+ youth based initiatives. June 2, Youth Community Panel. Noon to 1 p.m. Springfield K12 students will have the opportunity to speak directly with city officials, business owners, mental health professionals, and more, to discuss the needs of the LGBTQIA+ youth in Springfield, Massachusetts. June 3, 2nd Annual Springfield Pride Parade. 10:00 a.m. line up, parade launches at 12 p.m. at Springfield Technical Community College, 1 Federal St. Participants can walk in groups, or create their own floats. 2nd Annual Springfield Pride Parade – Block Party, 12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Stearns Square – 52-98 Stearns Square. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Event highlights feature a DJ, live music, dance performances, food and drink vendors, and retail booths. The Block Party will end with a performance from Trina Rockstarr.
