Beautiful days in Massachusetts call for time spent outdoors. One of my favorite ways to enjoy some nature is to pack up the family and hit the hiking trails. I typically choose a relatively short, easy walk, but every once in a while, the adrenaline starts pumping, and I go for a more challenging trail. When I’m done, I always leave tired but also depart with a great sense of accomplishment. If you have hiked and enjoyed trails like the Grace A. Robson Sanctuary Trail near Westfield and the Stony Ledge Trail in Lanesborough, you should head to the town of Lenox and check out the Overbrook Trail and Trail of the Ledges.
Have you hiked The Overbrook Trail and Trail of the Ledges? Please tell us about your experience. More information about these challenging trails and others at the Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary can be found on the official Mass Audubon website.
If you are looking for some rugged equipment to take with you on your hike, I suggest checking out the poles, boots, and shoes at L.L. Bean.
