Alfred L. Wiedersheim, 78, of East Longmeadow passed at his home on November 12th. He was born in Springfield on July 4th, 1945 to the late Alfred F. and Jennie (Golembiewski) Wiedersheim. Alfred worked for over 30 years at Milton Bradley as a machine mechanic and also served as the vice president of their union. He was a dedicated family man, starting with his marriage of 53 years to his wife Doris (Kariadoris) Wiedersheim and he loved being a “papu” to his grandkids. He also loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events or watching sports on tv with them. Alfred will also be remembered for his “Mr. Fix It” ability to fix just about anything and everything. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings. He leaves his loving family including his wife Doris; sons John Wiedersheim and wife Aimee Dalenta and Alfred M. Wiedersheim and wife Christina. He also leaves his five grandchildren: Adria, Jack, Alexa, Jordan, and Jamie; as well as his brother in law John Kariadoris, and his niece and nephew Ana and Michael Kariadoris. His family will be receiving friends at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Rd in Springfield from 4-7pm on Tuesday the 21st.
