John “Jack” Berube

Greenfield, MA – John “Jack” Berube passed away on December 26th, 2023 at Baystate Springfield Hospital. Loved by all he came in contact with, Jack was known for his quick wit and extensive knowledge of his generation’s pop culture. He had a passion for going for a drive and seeing where the road would take him, often exploring places such as the Green River, the Hoosac Tunnel, and lesser known areas of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont. An avid catch-and-release fisherman he loved and respected nature, especially it’s local wonders. His younger years included many miles on his motorcycle, and at least one cross country road trip. He is pre-deceased by both parents, Mary and Donald Berube (Florence) as well as both of his brothers, Richard Berube (Northampton) and Kenneth Berube (Amherst). He is survived by his two sisters, Donna Hutchinson (Feeding Hills) and Pamela Dickinson (Whately) as well as his three nieces and thier spouses, and one nephew. Forever the fun uncle of the family, he also had two great-nieces and two great-nephews that he very much enjoyed spending time and playing with.

Services will be held at Wrisley Funeral Home on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 10:30am, with an ash ceremony to follow. A luncheon will be held at The French King Restaurant at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
