Bradley Airport open during storm, but flight cancellations and delays reported

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) – Bradley International Airport was open while Winter Storm Aspen continued on Sunday morning, its officials said.

Bradley Public Information Officer Brian Spyros said the airport’s snow removal operations were ongoing.

Spyros said that as of 7 a.m. on Sunday, about 20 percent of flights were cancelled and 34 percent are delayed on Sunday.

Airport officials also said residual delays or cancellations are possible into Monday as airline partners work to resume regular flight operations.

For passengers who are traveling on Monday, they are advised to check with their airline and confirm the status of their flight before heading to the airport.

“The primary impact is on morning departures,” he said. “As our airline partners continue to adjust their schedules in response to the storm, passengers who are traveling [Sunday] and [Monday] are advised to check with their airline to confirm the status of their flight before heading to the airport.”
