The Boston Bruins (24-8-6) are on the road to play the Arizona Coyotes (19-17-2) on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET. Boston is set to play in Colorado on Monday as this is written before that game ends, while Arizona is coming off a 6-2 home loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.
Bruins On Back-To-Back
Boston is set to play in Colorado on Monday night in the first game of a four-game road trip against all Western Conference opponents. Before the road trip, the Bruins picked up a 7-3 home win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday to return to the win column after a 6-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Bruins are 24-8-6 which is good for first in the Atlantic Division and second overall in the Eastern Confernece. Boston is also 12-5-3 on the road this season with a +9 goal differential. Overall, the Bruins are averaging 3.37 goals per game which ranks 10th, and allowing 2.66 which ranks fifth.
Boston will be without Derek Forbort, and Milan Lucic, while James van Riemsdyk is day-to-day.
Coyotes On Three-Game Losing Skid
Arizona has been battling for a playoff spot all season long but the Coyotes have struggled as of late as they are now 19-17-2 which is 11th place in the West and on a three-game losing streak. A key reason for Arizona’s struggles has been their offense as the Coyotes average 2.95 goals per game which ranks 24th while allowing 3.00 goals per game which ranks 13th, and at home this season, Arizona is 12-8.
In the Coyotes last game, Arizona suffered a 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets as the Jets led 1-0 after one and 3-1 after two and didn’t look back from there. Also on the losing streak, Arizona has lost 5-1 to the New York Islanders and 4-1 to the Florida Panthers, with all three games being at home.
Arizona will be without Barrett Hayton and Travis Boyd.

Rating:
Even though Boston is on a back-to-back, take the Bruins to win the game as the Arizona Coyotes’ struggles will continue. The Bruins will be starting Jeremy Swayman against Colorado which leaves Linus Ullmark to get the start against the Coyotes, who’s been solid this season. Ullmark is 12-5-2 with a 2.74 GAA and a .915 SV% and although Connor Ingram has also been solid in net for Arizona, the Coyotes struggle to score goals. Ullmark should limit Arizona’s offense, while Boston continues to be able to score at will and will get the win here in the second-half of a back-to-back.
Take Boston on the ML at -162.
Prediction: Bruins ML -162

Rating:
With two solid goalies in net, the under-goals is the way to go in Tuesday night’s Bruins-Coyotes game. Arizona will struggle to score goals here as in their last five games, the Coyotes are averaging just two goals per game. Boston has been playing much better defensively, and on a back-to-back, the Bruins will look to slow the game down and keep possession with tired legs. Ingram has also been solid in net and won’t give up many goals to Boston, in what should be a 3-1, 3-2 type of game.
Take the under here.
Prediction: Under 6 goals -120
