Car crash, fire on I-91 North in Connecticut

MERIDEN, CT. (WWLP) – Police in Connecticut are investigating a crash that closed two lanes of I-91 in Meriden Sunday morning.

According to the Connecticut State Police, a car caught fire after crashing on the northbound side between exits 16 and 17. The right and center lanes were closed.

No injuries were reported and the State Department of Transportation was called in to fix a damaged guard rail.
