The Bruins, who are missing one defenseman due to injury, will be without another for missing a meeting.

Derek Forbort, who has battled injuries and inconsistency this season, missed a team meeting and will miss Monday’s game against the Kraken in Seattle according to coach Jim Montgomery.

“He missed a meeting today. That’s just our standard here with the Bruins,” Montgomery said. “Just like JD earlier in the year.”

Jake DeBrusk received the same punishment for the same infraction earlier in the year.

The Bruins will play Charlie McAvoy, Matt Grzelcyk, Brandon Carlo, Mason Lohrei, Kevin Shattenkirk and Parker Wotherspoon. Hampus Lindholm remains out with an injury.

It’s been a tough year for Forbort, who has missed 25 games with injuries. Normally an elite penalty killer, he’s struggled in the role this season.
