Howard D. Baker, 76, of Pittsfield, MA, died peacefully at home on February 11, 2024. Born in Pittsfield on February 11, 1948, to the late Evelyn Rawling Frederick and Clarence D. Baker. Howard was raised in Lenox, MA and is a 1966 Lenox Memorial High School graduate. Howard joined the Navy post-high school, where he spent several years working in fire control aboard the USS John F. Kennedy. Howard married his wife Patricia Maxwell Baker in 1981 just before he began his long-loved career as a Systems Engineer for the government and then private corporations.
Howard leaves his wife, his daughters Jessica Tatro, Kristen Dominguez and his two beloved grandchildren Kaileigh Boucher and Grayson Hoyt. His son-in-law Victor Dominguez, and ex son-in-law Troy Hoyt. Howard was predeceased by his step-father, Kenneth Frederick and leaves three sisters, Linda Baker Girardey, Kelly Fisher, and Karen Guidette. He also leaves nephews Greg Girardey and Kenneth George Girardey, nieces Caitlin Fisher and Megan Guidette Robert and several great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is planned for family and friends on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Zucchini’s Restaurant, 1331 North St., Pittsfield, MA, at 11:30 AM.
