NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton is fully open and operational even though traffic is being detoured within the medical center.
Construction is taking place right outside the emergency department. It has been announced that the entrance near the construction. on Locust Street is still open. The hospital’s emergency department is undergoing a $26 million upgrade, increasing its size by 40 percent.
It will add 9 new patient rooms, 4 beds for those needing mental health, and a family waiting area. The hospital is also adding an in-unit CT scanning machine for more timely access to imaging.
During this construction, hospital staff will be assisting with parking. If you have appointments for endoscopy procedures, officials ask you to follow the signs to the north building entrance for check-in.
