Mary Jane (Maloney) Leone, age 87, died on March 30, 2024 at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. Born in Portland, ME, she was the daughter of Ralph Bernard and Margaret (Smith) Maloney. She graduated from Seton Hill University and earned her Masters of Education in Counseling and Psychology from Boston College. She achieved CAGS in Reading from American International College. Jane retired as principal of Mile Tree School in Wilbraham in 2001 after 27 years of service in the Hampden Wilbraham Regional School District. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald L. Leone in 1996. She was the loving stepmother of; Ronald Leone, John Leone and his wife Kathy, Joseph Leone and his wife Siearra, the late Michael Leone and his wife Terri. Jane leaves two step daughters; Darlene Blais and her husband Gaetan and Deborah Ainsworth and her husband Robert. She leaves two dear brothers; the late Ralph Maloney and his wife Susan and Amrit Singh Khalsa and his wife Nerbeh, two cherished sisters; Margaret O’Brien and her husband Michael and Kathleen Gilmore and her husband Thomas, fourteen step grandchildren; Anthony and Julie Gragowski, Jeremy and Martin Blais, Danielle, Michael and Adam Leone, Nicholas and Samuel Leone, Scott and David Leone, Angelina, Luca and Lorenzo Leone and several great grandchildren. Jane also leaves thirteen treasured nephews and nieces and twelve grand nephews and grand nieces. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10th from 4-7PM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Jane’s Funeral Mass on Thursday, April 11th at 11AM at St. Cecilia’s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s name to Partners in Health, P.O.
