PROVOST, Louis Joseph Louis Joseph Provost, age 78, passed away peacefully at Holyoke Medical Center on Sunday, (January 28, 2007) surrounded by loving family and friends. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and retired from two distinguished careers as a Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force and a Captain with the Bradley International Airport Fire Department. He served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Joe is survived by a brother and his wife, Robert and Carol Provost of Malden; a sister and her husband, Jeanette and Richard McIntyre of Marston Mills, Cape Cod, MA; a grandson and his wife, Kyle and Courtney Provost of South Windsor; a granddaughter and her husband Melissa and Damien Hayes of Orlando, FL and great granddaughter, Madison Provost. His wife, Mildred (White) Provost died in 1984 and his son, Thomas Provost died in 2006. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, Agawam, MA. The family requests that all donations go to the Bradley International Airport Fire Department or the charity of choice.
