FLANAGAN , Kevin P. Kevin P. Flanagan passed away peacefully at the Veterans Hospital in in Leeds, MA, Thursday (July 17, 2008). He was born in Holyoke, MA the son of John C and Mary (Quirk) Flanagan. After graduating, he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force, 831 Supply Sq., where upon completion he was honorably discharged. Kevin worked for 22 years at the University of Massachusetts as a security guard until his early retirement due to Multiple Sclerosis. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriot fan. He leaves behind his loving son Daniel R. Flanagan and his wife Paige (Lallier) Flanagan and Kylie Lallier of Ellington; his loving daughter, Deborah C. Walch and her husband Frederick S. Walch of Three Rivers, MA; his three cherished grandchildren, Michael Flanagan, Ryan Walch and Ashley Walch. He also leaves behind two brothers, John Flanagan of W. Springfield, MA and James Flanagan of Ohio, one sister Ann Pauly and her wonderful loving husband, Ira Pauly whom would make Kevin very happy with his humorous post cards. A sister, Mary Flanagan, predeceased him, A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the nurses and doctors at the V.A. Medical Center in Leeds for taking such good care of our father. Your kindness will not be forgotten. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Easthampton, MA, followed with burial with Military Honors at 12 Noon at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant Street, Easthampton, MA.
