GONYEA, Shirley Mae Shirley Mae (Cummings) Gonyea, 74, of Ludlow, MA, passed away on Monday, (June 11, 2007) in the presence of her loving family at home. Born in Ware, MA and a long time resident of Ludlow, Shirley was the daughter of the late Mary (Urban) Provost and her late step-father, William Provost. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and home maker. Shirley had also worked for several years at Jo-Ann Fabrics of Ludlow. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Ludlow. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Clarence E. Gonyea in 1989. She is survived by nine children: Carol Ann St. Onge and her husband Michael of Grafton, MA, Thomas E. Gonyea and his wife, Sandra of Ludlow, MA, William J. Gonyea and his wife Carol of Monson, MA, Ronald G. Gonyea of Springfield, MA, Kathleen M. Sanford and her husband Don of Monson, MA, David P. Gonyea and his wife Maudine of Indian Orchard, MA, John F. Gonyea and his partner, Jim Bates of Windsor Locks, Laurie Jo Larsen of Ludlow, MA, Joseph L. Gonyea and his wife Catherine of Ludlow, MA; 21 grandchildren: Autumn, Amber, Olivia, Eric, Cody, Luke, Adam, Aimee, Nicholas, Jacob, Andrew, Benjamin, Jennifer, Kyle, Ryan, Tyler, Alyssa, Tamara, Elizabeth, Megan, Loren; and five great-grandchildren: Paige, Abraham, Kailee, Joseph and Jade. The funeral will be TODAY, June 13, from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, MA at 12 Noon, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, Ludlow, MA at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
