Northampton, MA – Laura (Kuczenski) Strojny, 100, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Monday July 1, 2024, at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility. She was born in Northampton on May 28, 1924, to the late Thomas and Leokadia (Kwiatowski) Kuczenski.
She attended Northampton schools and was a graduate of Northampton High School class of 1942. As a young woman, her greatest passion was the violin, she played at local venues in the area. Laura met and fell in love with Bronislaw “Bruno”, they were married June 24, 1956, at the former St. John Cantius Church. She had various jobs in Northampton, one of them being McCallum’s Department Store, but her greatest joy was being a stay-at-home wife and mother. Laura was a lover of all animals, nature, and loved cooking for all to enjoy. She was a generous hostess and welcomed everyone into their home for gatherings.
She is survived by her loving son and caregiver, Thomas Strojny of Northampton.
Burial will be at a later date and at the convenience of the family. DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME OF NORTHAMPTON HAS BEEN ENTRUSTED WITH HER SERVICES.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bronislaw, and her sister Myrtle Kuczenski.
