SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Traffic will be affected in the area of Liberty Street between Main Street and Dwight Street starting early next week while crews repair water pipes. Here’s a map of the area provided to us by the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission.
The work is anticipated to begin on Monday morning, and continue through November.
The Commission says normal working hours are between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. While the construction is going on, there will still be two-way traffic, but it will be altered. There will be signs posted and police officers there to help guide drivers and pedestrians.
