18-year-old woman identified as victim of Springfield homicide

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The victim of a deadly shooting in the South End neighborhood of Springfield last Friday has been identified.

According to Hampden District Attorney Spokesperson Jim Leyden, the victim has been identified as 18-year-old Shainn Goodson of Springfield.

On Friday around 12:50 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Oswego and Niagara Streets for a ShotSpotter activation. When they arrived, they found Goodson with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Baystate Medical Center but died from her injuries.

Two other men were also found with minor injuries.
