Antwi fuels Lowell Catholic in Tech win – Lowell Sun

Lowell Catholic 53, Shawsheen Tech 41

Junior Catherine Antwi led all scorers with 20 points and added seven steals, as Lowell Catholic (6-5, 7-12 overall) defeated Shawsheen Tech.

The visiting Crusaders broke open in the third quarter with a 13-5 run enroute to the CAC victory. Charlotte Morey added 14 points. Junior Olivia Meuse added a spark off the bench in the second half with eight rebounds, two blocks and four points.

Littleton 59, Quabbin 38

Hannah Cochran collected a team-high 20 points, as Littleton (14-6) topped Quabbin.

The Middies were bolstered by Kaylin O’Meara (19 points) and Victoria McCoy (18).

Boys Hockey

Central Catholic 4, Catholic Memorial 3 OT

Andrew Duval netted the game-winning goal in overtime, as Central Catholic (10-8-4) clipped Catholic Memorial, 4-3, in the consolation round of the Pope Francis Tournament.

Central cashed in with two goals in the second period courtesy of Brady Rickenbach and Sean Gray, knotting the game at 2-2. Will Norris potted the third period equalizer to force the extra session. Goalie Michael Brothers made 28 saves for the win.

In earlier action, St. Mary’s stopped Central, 2-1, Feb. 22. Darren Kim scored the lone goal in the second period. Tim Briley made 21 saves in the loss.

Bishop Fenwick 4, Lowell Catholic 1
Lowell Catholic’s Adam Ellegood scored his team’s only goal, as Lowell Catholic fell to Fenwick.

Kyle D’Autiel and Justin Roche set up the goal. Goalie Vinny D’Urso made 28 saves in the loss. Joe Di Giovanni and Anthony Grace also had strong games.
