Ex Novo Brewing Co. Where The Mild Things Are – Backcountry Beer Reviews Ep. 42
Ex Novo Brewing Company Where The Mild Things Are English-Style Mild Ale (Corrales, NM, USA): “This dark English mild highlights the notes of the rich English malt, which are biscuity, nutty, hearty & satisfying, providing yet a wonderfully sessionable beer.” 4.1% Alc/vol, 18 IBUs. Part of “British beer month”! See http://www.exnovobrew.com/corrales.
About the brewery: Ex Novo started as a homebrewing project in that hub of craft beer, Portland, Oregon, in 2012, and opened up its first taproom in 2014. The name is Latin for “from the beginning”, and the brewery prides itself in its mission to donate 100% of its profits to “those building a better world and bringing hope to places where it is scarce”. They opened a satellite brewery and taproom in Corrales, New Mexico, a village close to the Rio Grande that in modern times is something of an Albuquerque suburb and the hometown of founder Joel Gregory. They also have a taproom in Beaverton, Oregon. I have only heard good things about this brewery’s beer and Corrales taproom, so I’m excited to try more of their offerings and visit once the weather gets warmer or indoor dining reopens. Find their beer in Oregon and New Mexico, or order online if you live in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, or Washington state (http://www.exnovobrew.com/beer-delivery-home). “We gather, we volunteer, we drink beer! Drink Beer. Do Good. Be Awesome!”
