Workers in 21 states will see a rise in the minimum wage in the New Year – with pay bumps ranging from cents to dollars per hour.

MASSACHUSETTS (WGGB/WSHM) – Beginning on Saturday, Massachusetts is one of 21 states that will see a rise in the minimum wage. 

The wage will increase by 75 cents from $13.50 to $14.25, with the goal to reach $15 per hour by 2023. 

Massachusetts minimum wage is nearly double the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
