Vermont State Police arrest Holyoke man, Westfield woman following traffic stop


(WGGB/WSHM) — Two western Massachusetts residents have been arrested for numerous drug charges after being pulled over for speeding Thursday in Vermont.

Vermont State Police said that pulled over a car on I-91 in Rockingham, VT around 5:30 p.m. for excessive speeding. Troopers said they reportedly saw something being thrown from the car, which was found and presumed to contain illegal substances.

Montel Harris of Holyoke and Tatiana Rivera of Westfield were arrested for possession of fentanyl and crack cocaine, as well as for suspicion of driving under the influence. They were issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court on Friday.
